{"id":1895,"date":"2022-10-28T09:57:24","date_gmt":"2022-10-28T09:57:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/self.ee\/?page_id=1895"},"modified":"2022-10-28T09:57:25","modified_gmt":"2022-10-28T09:57:25","slug":"training-of-people-development-skills","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/self.ee\/en\/training-courses\/training-of-people-development-skills\/","title":{"rendered":"Training of People Development Skills"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>aim<\/strong>&nbsp;of the training is to develop the participants&#8217; people development skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In our approach to people development we are based on non-directive and client-centered principles of humanistic psychology, incl. following beliefs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; every person has resources to understand and develop himself \/ herself;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; the use of these resources can be developed and supported with skillful counselling (as a leader, as a mentor or coach).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We refer to the well-known and time-proven theories of C. Rogers, J.L. Moreno, Th. Gordon as well as of contemporary authors like P. McKenna, D. Maister, M. Kets De Vries e.g<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The area of trainings in people development include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; training of mentoring skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; training of coaching skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; training for developmental conversations for leaders (1-on-1 conversations, regular appraisal or performance reviews etc)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; training for skills for group supervison or for leading the peer-coaching sessions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Common topics in the trainings:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>the role of developing people<\/li><li>the structure and the stages of the development process<\/li><li>people development skills:<ul><li>how to build psychological contact and trustful relationship with the client<\/li><li>active listening and interviewing skills<\/li><li>goal setting and process planning<\/li><li>how to deal with resistance<\/li><li>how to follow up<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>common obstacles to development<\/li><li>developer\u2019s self-analyses and self-care<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These trainings are meant for groups of 8-12 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Main methods in the training:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>short lectures, self-analysis exercises, group discussions, role-plays, demonstrations, short case-studies, coaching exercises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We provide study materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our graduates receive official certificates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The&nbsp;aim&nbsp;of the training is to develop the participants&#8217; people development skills.
